Today, it is raining and the leaves are turning color. This is a great time of year for anyone like me who appreciates the change in weather. This time of year also signifies the middle of the first quarter. Last week, students received their interim progress reports. Some students were probably pleased about how they are doing in class while others are not so pleased. The wonderful thing to remember is that there is still time for students to improve their grades. For example, my classes will have a test this Friday. Tests are worth a lot of points so if the students study well they can improve their grades dramatically just by doing well on this test. The test is Friday, so remind your child to study the unit's vocabulary and the skills we have been learning in class. A study guide will go out on Wednesday.
Enjoy the Fall!

Last night was Open House, and I had the privilege of meeting some of my students' parents. They showed me so much kindness. They thanked me for teaching their children, gave me hugs, and warm smiles. The support my students' parents showed me is giving me another reason to believe that this will be a great school year.
