. This week we learn about the water cycle. There are three forms of water. Those are Evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. That is called water cycle. This help the water to stay clean for us to drink.
This week we learn two article about "All split up" and "Tough cell phone." For example, I wrote about All Split Up and another classmate wrote about Tough Cell Phone. Here are our first drafts.
All Split Up Boys and girls should have separate classes. First, it feels nervous when everyone is looking at you when you are answering a question from your teacher. You don't want the boys to see you, and that will probably be embarrassing for you and me. Finally, the last reason girls feel comfortable when they are around another girls because some trust another girls. This why girls and boys should be separately. No phones at School Students should not be able to use their phones in class. First, students are not listening in class. A recent Los Angeles time article says that teachers across America must compete with students phones for attention in class (Huff post).Second, students cheat in the test with the phones. Kids in the U.S use their cellphones or other devices to cheat (U.S News). These are the reasons why students should not use their phones at school. This week we learn about Oreo is one way to write.

Today is the end of the quarter for esl. It was a great quarter because we learned new things. For example, in the class we have been working on writing an outline and reading a book called Call Me Maria. Call Me Maria is about an immigrant who traveled from Puerto Rico to Manhattan. I liked the story because it was talking about how immigrants come and how they adjust to different countries. This week we learned about a story named Call me Maria. This story is about two persons which are the main characters. They are Abuela and Papi.
Abuela was born in Puerto Rico and Papi was born in New York so they both have different ideas about Puerto Rico. Abuela was born in PR but she move from PR to NY that is where Papi was born. He doesn't like PR because la familia made fun of his Spanish because it was not so good. Papi said the bugs ate him alive. Abuela misses PR and the warm sunshine every day. She said there was no crime, no drugs, no voilence, and the children respect their elders. Abuela thinks PR is a paradise. She doesn't like NY. It's too cold for her. This shows us that disagreement can happen at any time. Familiar Places is about people from different cultures who move to the United States. They create new communities and they enjoy their food ,clothes ,sounds ,language, and celebration.
We learned about Chinatown because the people who live there are different from Americans. The food, clothes, and celebrations are different from Americans. The language is different from Americans. They live in Chinatown because they want to be comfortable. My family and I moved to Lynn because we have family living here. It is comfortable for me and my family living here. WE LOVE READING AND LEARNING
